The true value of an office chair shows years after you buy it. At purchase, everyone looks at the design; a few years later, the real question is whether the chair can be repaired and whether parts are available. Our answer on mesh chair repair is clear: most of the chair can be repaired, and that is often more sensible than buying new.
At FK Mesh Chairs, we manufacture mesh office chairs. Being the manufacturer means we also supply the parts we use for repairs.
What We Repair
- Mesh replacement: Renewing sagging, torn or loose back mesh.
- Foam renewal: Replacing collapsed seat and back foam, and re-upholstering if needed.
- Gas lift replacement: Replacing cylinders that sink or will not hold height.
- Mechanism repair and replacement: Fixing mechanisms with play, a failing lock or noise.
- Base and caster replacement: Renewing bent or broken bases and stiff or stuck casters.
- Armrest replacement and joint repair: Replacing loose, wobbly or broken armrests.
Conference and Meeting Chair Repair
Conference and meeting chairs wear faster because they are moved around busy halls. On these chairs we replace legs, renew foam, repair arm joints, renew mesh and replace writing tablet mechanisms. Squeaks and wobbles caused by loose joints are usually fixed with a simple adjustment.
The Faults We See Most
Sagging mesh
This is usually caused not by the user's weight but by cleaning with bleach or other chemicals. New mesh restores back support.
Gas lift sinking
A common problem with lower-class cylinders. Replacing the gas lift makes the chair safe to use again. For office use, we recommend at least a Class-3 gas lift.
Collapsed foam
Seat foam softens and sinks on heavily used chairs. New foam brings the seat back to shape.
Mechanism play and noise
Mechanisms develop play on chairs used for years without adjustment. Loose screws cause noise and wobble; regular checks prevent most of this.
Cracked plastic frames and bent legs
These come from chairs being knocked against desks or dragged around. Frames and legs can be replaced.
Spare Parts Sales
For companies and technical teams that prefer to do their own repairs, we sell spare parts: bases, casters, gas lifts, foam, mesh, armrests and writing tablet mechanisms. To identify the right part, simply send a photo of the chair and, if possible, the model details.
How the Repair Process Works
- Send photos: Share an overall photo and a close-up of the fault on WhatsApp at +90 532 725 07 46.
- Assessment: We identify the fault and the parts needed and send you a quote.
- Repair: After your approval, the work is done at our workshop in Güngören; we will plan drop-off or shipping with you.
- Care advice: We share cleaning and usage tips to extend the chair's life.
Repair or Replace?
If the frame is sound, replacing the mesh, foam, gas lift or mechanism is usually more economical than a new chair. If the body is broken or parts are not available, a new chair may make more sense, and we will tell you so honestly. If you need new seating, browse our ergonomic mesh work chairs, executive mesh chairs and mesh meeting chairs.
