ViewA mesh chair is an office chair with a breathable mesh fabric back. Foam and leather backs leave no room for air between your back and the chair, so long sessions lead to heat and that sticky feeling. With mesh, air keeps circulating, and the flexible back follows your movement.
At FK Mesh Chairs, we manufacture mesh office chairs, install them and repair them years later. This page summarizes the types of mesh chairs, who they suit and what to check before buying, based on our experience in the field.
Designed for staff who sit at a desk all day. Adjustable lumbar support, a tilt mechanism and quiet casters matter most here. See all models in ergonomic mesh work chairs.
Wider seats, headrests and more advanced mechanisms for management offices. Models with headrests and lumbar pads are in executive mesh chairs.
For short to medium use around a table. Castor and fixed-base models, plus a conference chair with writing tablet, are in mesh meeting chairs.
Durable, fixed-base chairs for receptions, clinics and office lobbies, with chrome and U-shaped base options. See mesh waiting room chairs.
Models built on imported mechanisms and frames, known for quiet operation, are in imported mesh office chairs.
A mesh chair is neither magic nor a poor choice. Chosen well, it is comfortable; chosen badly, back, neck and shoulder complaints follow. The pattern we see most often: cheap mesh plus fixed lumbar support plus a weak mechanism. Everyone is happy in the first month, and complaints begin around month three.
Foam and leather backs feel fuller at first and give a classic look, but they trap heat, so long sessions bring warmth and sweating. A mesh chair stays cool all day and gives the back flexible support. For some users who want very firm, rigid support and sit more than ten hours a day, a quality foam executive chair can be the better fit. If you are undecided, weigh sitting time, office temperature and the user's build together.
Vacuum or brush the mesh weekly. Wipe upholstery with a damp cloth and mild soap. Bleach and harsh chemicals make mesh brittle and dull chrome; many of the sagging backs we repair were caused by the wrong cleaning products.
If your mesh chair is worn, you do not need to throw it away. Our workshop renews mesh and replaces foam, gas lifts, mechanisms, legs, casters and armrests, and we sell spare parts. For conference chairs, we also replace writing tablet mechanisms.
Our mesh chairs are made to order rather than held in stock. You choose the upholstery and color, and average lead time is about one week. We ship across Turkey and handle bulk and corporate orders. Yes. The mesh back lets air through, so it stays much cooler than foam or leather. If the seat is faux leather, it can still feel warm in summer; fabric seats are cooler for heavy use.
When chosen correctly, yes. Look for taut mesh, adjustable lumbar support and a quality mechanism. People with serious back conditions should also follow their doctor's advice.
The mesh can be renewed. We replace mesh in our workshop, so in most cases the whole chair does not need replacing.
