Nova Plastic Waiting Chair

The Nova plastic waiting chair is a model we regularly install in hospital corridors, municipal buildings and private clinics, places where hundreds of people sit every day. We have installed it, repaired broken units and replaced parts, so we prefer to describe how it behaves in use rather than repeat a spec sheet.

An important note: Nova Plastic is not a mesh chair. The seat and back are entirely plastic. It sits in our waiting chair range because it serves the same spaces, but its structure and purpose are different.

Is the Nova Plastic Waiting Chair Really Durable?

"Plastic" often suggests cheap and flimsy, and that reputation is not unfair; there are some very weak plastic chairs on the market.

The plastic on Nova is thick. It takes knocks and can scratch, but it rarely cracks. In hospital corridors, where cleaning carts bump into chairs and people sit down hard, the difference is obvious. Thin plastic would have failed long ago.

• One-piece molded seat and back: fewer joints means fewer parts to loosen.
• Wipe-clean surface: the non-porous finish does not hold dirt or liquids.
• Body-shaped mold: supports the lower back and thighs without added padding.

How Comfortable Is It?

To be honest, Nova is not a soft chair. It does not make you sweat, but it does not offer foam comfort either. Waiting chairs of this type are firm by design, intended for short stays.

If you need a soft, upholstered waiting chair, we do not recommend Nova; our upholstered or mesh models will suit you better.

Fixed Metal Base

The chair sits on a fixed chrome-plated metal profile base with no castors, which is a real advantage in crowded areas. Chairs on castors constantly shift, bend and break; Nova avoids that risk. Properly applied chrome resists rust well.

• Stays firmly in place.
• Does not flex under load.
• Screws may loosen over time; a quick tighten solves it.

It is not suited to long sitting. Where waits are long, we recommend the foam-seated models in our mesh waiting chairs range.

Care: Simple but Important

Chairs used by hundreds of people a day get dirty; that is unavoidable.

• A damp cloth is enough.
• Do not use bleach.
• Thinner and acetone dull the surface.
• Wipe metal parts dry to keep the chrome shine.

A proper wipe once a month preserves the look and slows plastic aging.

Repairs and Spare Parts

As a manufacturer with many years in production and technical service, we replace metal bases, renew connectors and replace broken plastic shells on Nova Plastic. The same service team also handles mechanisms, gas lifts, bases and mesh for our mesh chairs, and we sell spare parts. A chair without spare parts ends up in the bin; that will not happen with Nova.

Pricing, Production and Delivery

Price depends on plastic quality, metal thickness, workmanship, quantity and parts availability. Nova is neither the cheapest nor the most expensive; it sits in the mid range, which is why customers keep reordering it.
