03Product description

The Rippe Mesh Visitor Waiting Chair is a mesh waiting chair built for places where people sit for a few minutes up to an hour: clinics, bank branches, reception desks and public service counters. As a manufacturer that also runs a repair workshop, we have installed, serviced and refurbished this model many times, so the notes below come from real use rather than a brochure.

Who is the Rippe mesh waiting chair for?

This chair is designed for short to medium waits in high-traffic areas. It keeps a row of seating looking tidy and gives visitors a back that stays cool even on warm days.

Typical settings include:

  • Patient waiting rooms and private clinics
  • Bank branches and public service counters
  • Office receptions and visitor corners
  • Schools, training centers and administrative corridors

To be clear, this is not a desk chair. It has no height adjustment and no casters. For staff who sit at a computer all day, a model from our mesh work chair range is a much better fit.

Mesh back and frame

The back is a perforated mesh panel stretched over a rigid plastic shell. The shell tilts slightly backward to follow a natural sitting posture, and side lumbar supports fill the curve of the lower back. Because air moves through the mesh constantly, visitors stay drier in crowded rooms.

The mesh on the Rippe is of medium thickness. Very thin mesh tends to sag quickly; we rarely see that on this model. Still, an honest summary:

  • Plus: Breathable and flexes gently with the body.
  • Plus: Light visual profile that keeps a waiting area from feeling crowded.
  • Watch out: Under constant heavy loads, mesh can loosen over time. We do not recommend this type of mesh back for users over 150 kg.

Seat foam and upholstery

The seat uses 5 cm of grey foam, upholstered in faux leather or fabric. It feels comfortable from the first sit and spreads pressure across the hips and thighs.

On chairs used for long hours every day, the foam begins to soften within roughly 6 to 12 months. That is the nature of the material, not a defect. For short waits it makes little difference, and when needed, the foam can be replaced in our workshop.

Choosing upholstery: Faux leather wipes clean easily, which makes it popular in clinics and hospitals. Fabric feels warmer to the touch but needs more attention to stains.

Legs, armrests and what we see in the field

The legs are chrome-nickel plated metal tubes with good rust resistance and stable floor contact. Integrated black plastic armrests also reinforce the joint between seat and back, and they hold the elbows at a relaxed angle.

The most common issue we repair is bent legs caused by dragging chairs across tiled floors during cleaning. Lifting chairs instead of pulling them extends leg life considerably.

Cleaning and care

  • Wipe faux leather or fabric with a damp cloth.
  • Dust the mesh lightly without pressing into it.
  • Dry-wipe chrome parts to keep their shine.
  • Avoid chemical cleaners, which can damage finishes over time.

Repairs and spare parts

Because we manufacture these chairs, after-sales support comes directly from us. Our workshop offers mesh replacement, foam renewal, leg and frame replacement, plus screws, connectors and plastic parts. A chair without spare parts ends up in the bin after its first fault; the Rippe does not.

Ordering and delivery

Each chair is made to order rather than taken from stock. Average lead time is about one week, and large corporate orders may take slightly longer. Chairs ship fully assembled and ready to use, with delivery across Turkey from our Istanbul workshop.

Questions about this model

Have a question?

It is designed for short to medium waits. For full workdays at a desk, we recommend a height-adjustable mesh work chair with casters.
