Lonch affordable mesh chair: budget-friendly, not cut-price

The Lonch affordable mesh chair is a work and meeting chair we make for offices that want good value. Affordable doesn't mean poor quality here. To keep the price reasonable, we simplified a few extras, but we didn't compromise on the mesh, foam and mechanism that decide how long a chair lasts.

From call centers to home offices, we keep meeting people who say, "I'll be sitting in it all day, but my budget is tight." Lonch was developed for exactly that need.

The difference between cheap and good value

A large share of the chairs that come into our repair workshop were bought very cheaply and failed within a year. Usually the mesh is thin and slackens, and the foam is weak and sinks. Once repair costs are added, the bargain becomes expensive.

On Lonch we use basic but quality components to keep the price down. The aim is a low total cost over the years, not just a low price on day one.

Mesh back and ergonomic support

The back frame is rigid plastic shaped to match the spine's natural S-curve. It supports the lower back and reduces tension in the shoulders and neck.

The mesh on top is highly breathable: it flexes, avoids pressure points and helps prevent sweating in every season. Where very cheap mesh loosens within a year, Lonch's better weave keeps its shape for much longer.

Seat and upholstery

The seat uses 5 cm of high-density gray foam. That thickness spreads body weight evenly and eases pressure on the hips and legs. The hollowing you see in very cheap chairs after a year or so doesn't happen here.

Upholstery can be faux leather or fabric. Faux leather is easy to clean, while fabric feels softer and breathes better. For heavy use we generally recommend fabric.

Mechanism and movement

• Tilt mechanism: A dual-lever tilt lets you recline and lock the back. Unlocked, the chair rocks gently with your movements, which helps during long meetings.
• 360° swivel: The chair turns fully on its axis.
• Height adjustment: A Class-2 gas lift adapts easily to your desk height.
• Base: A high-strength plastic star base, rated in the product information to carry up to 500 kg.
• Casters: Quiet twin-wheel casters glide smoothly on carpet and hard floors without leaving marks.

Armrests

Black plastic armrests match the frame and keep elbows at the right height, reducing arm fatigue over long sessions. Unlike the wobbly arms on many cheap chairs, Lonch's stay firm.

Cleaning and care

• Clean the mesh back weekly with a soft brush or vacuum.
• Wipe the upholstery with a damp cloth and neutral soap, then dry with microfiber.
• Avoid thinner, bleach, alcohol and chemical cleaners, which wear the mesh quickly.
• Wipe plastic and metal parts with a dry cloth.

Repairs, spare parts and service

As the manufacturer, we keep every Lonch spare part in stock: mesh fabric, gray foam, tilt mechanism, gas lift, plastic base and casters. Mesh renewal, mechanism replacement and caster or gas lift changes are handled quickly and affordably.

Ordering and delivery

Lonch is not kept in stock; color, upholstery and extras are made to your choice. Average production time is about one week and may extend to 10–15 days depending on demand and options. Orders within Istanbul are delivered from our workshop, and orders elsewhere go by cargo. As a custom product, returns and exchanges are not accepted.
