03Product description
The Norm mesh executive chair is a model we install and service in executive suites, law offices, busy call centers and meeting rooms. It adapts to three roles: executive chair, task chair and meeting chair. Each one is made to order in our workshop.
We know this chair from the field, not from a catalog. Used in the right place it gives long service; bought with the wrong expectations, any chair can cause trouble. So we describe both its strengths and its limits.
Most people look at mesh and color first. We look at the metal: the mechanism underneath, base thickness and weld points. If these are weak, good looks will not save the chair. Norm's frame is solid overall.
Some "identical but cheaper" chairs on the market develop play and squeaks within six months. We do not recommend very cheap versions; they wear out users and businesses alike.
The backrest is built on a strong plastic frame covered in mesh, with fabric or faux leather available on request. Its curved form follows the body's natural lines for comfortable seating through long working hours.
Mesh keeps you cool, but poor-quality mesh sags fast. The mesh on Norm is medium-firm and holds its tension well.
A headrest finished in the same material supports the neck and turns short breaks into real rest.
Seat foam looks like a small detail but is not. Cheap foam collapses within a year and leaves users feeling as if they sit on a board. Norm uses 5 cm medium-firm grey foam that keeps its shape.
Very cheap faux leather cracks within a year or two, so it pays not to economize here.
The double-lever tilt mechanism allows rocking and locking in any position and is well suited to daily use. Like any mechanical part it can wear, but parts are easy to replace. Height is adjusted with a gas lift.
The armrests are integrated plastic, which cause fewer problems than bolted-on arms.
Base options:
Castors move smoothly on all floor types.
All of these can be repaired.
Norm sits in the mid-to-upper range. It is not for buyers chasing the lowest price, but a sound choice for those who want long use, available parts and repairability. See also our mesh office chairs, mesh work chairs and mesh conference chairs.
A slightly damp cloth is all the mesh needs; bleach, alcohol and thinner damage it. Wipe metal parts with a dry cloth. As a manufacturer with many years in production and technical service, we replace mesh, foam, mechanisms, bases and armrests in our own workshop.
Norm is made to order with an average lead time of about one week. Pricing depends on mesh quality, foam density, mechanism, base material and quantity. Contact us via WhatsApp for a quote.
Yes. With its mesh back, headrest and double-lever tilt, it works well as an executive or task chair for long hours. Under heavy use, we recommend checking the mechanism adjustment from time to time.
The standard plastic pyramid base is light and fine for daily use. For a heavier, more stable feel, choose the painted or chrome metal star base.
