Chrome-Plated Metal Base and Quiet Castors

The chair stands on a chrome-plated metal base. It is stable on level floors, resists bending, and is sturdy enough for everyday office use.

The castors run quietly and cause no trouble on parquet or tiled floors. On carpet, hair and threads can build up, so occasional cleaning is needed. To keep the chrome bright, use a damp cloth rather than bleach, as harsh chemicals can dull the finish within a few years.

Wide Mesh Back: Cool and Supportive

Dora's standout feature is its wide mesh backrest. The breathable design keeps your back dry, especially in summer and in offices with weak air conditioning.

It is also important to set the right expectations. Dora offers a supportive back, but it is not an orthopaedic chair and should not be seen as a cure for serious back conditions. Mesh that is too tight feels uncomfortable, while mesh that is too loose gives less support, so we check this balance on every production batch.

Seat and Upholstery Options

The seat uses 5 cm of foam. It feels comfortable from day one, and foam density determines how it will feel a year or two later.

• Fabric: cooler and more comfortable, but shows dirt sooner.
• Faux leather: easy to clean, though it can feel warm in summer.
• Genuine leather: looks refined, needs regular care and costs more.

For everyday offices we usually recommend quality fabric; faux or genuine leather makes more sense in executive spaces where appearance is the priority.

Adjustable Arms: Get Close to Your Desk

The arms flip up, and the armrest pads move left, right, forward and back. This makes it easy to slide the chair right under a narrow desk.

The soft polyurethane pads are gentle on the elbows. The most common arm fault we see in our repair service comes from users pushing themselves up out of the chair by the armrests, so using them for resting rather than lifting extends their life.

Tilt Mechanism and Height Adjustment

The tilt mechanism lets the backrest recline and lock at your preferred angle while the seat stays level. Gas-lift height adjustment makes it simple to match the chair to your desk height.

Dimensions

Dora measures approximately 70 cm wide, 65 cm deep, with a 45 cm seat height. The generous frame gives plenty of seating space, so plan the layout of compact workstations in advance.

Made to Order, Care and Repairs

Dora is never sold from stock; it is built to your colour and upholstery choice. The average lead time is about one week and may extend in busy periods. Custom production means returns and exchanges are not possible, so we recommend seeing a sample before bulk orders.
